Não penso que se trate de uma escolha que as pessoas fazem, mas simplesmente algo que sentem... como o facto das pessoas heterossexuais se sentirem atraídas por pessoas do outro género, as pessoas homossexuais sentem-se atraídas por pessoas do mesmo género. Não acho que controlem tal sentimento, porque os sentimentos não se controlam, no máximo limitam-se com a razão, mas não deixam de existir.Embora não me parece que haja "culpa" ou "responsabilidade" por se ser ou não homossexual, a sociedade impõe sempre um aspecto prejurativo e negativo face à homossexualidade.Se as pessoas homossexuais pudessem escolher, não escolheriam elas ser heterossexuais e levar a sua vida de acordo com o que a sociedade aceita? Não teriam menos problemas e seriam, desde modo, mais felizes?Será que, se não se visse a homossexualidade como uma doença ou um comportamento depravado, desviante, errado e a evitar, a discriminação seria tão grande?Haveria mesmo necessidade de estarmos a debater este assunto, caso não lhe dessemos tanta "importância"?Se comparassemos a orientação sexual com a cor da pele, será que a sociedade continuaria a pensar da mesma forma face aos homossexuais? será que continuaria a ser tão cruel e discriminadora?Nem tod@s conseguimos alargar os nossos horizontes e criar empatia com assuntos, que à partida, não nos dizem respeito e que preferimos não pensar, mas para quem não tem opção, como será?Tal como não se pode mudar a cor da pele, não devíamos exigir que outr@s mudem quem são (pois eu acredito que mesmo que quisessem, não conseguiriam).E quanto às marchas, não sei se concordo muito com a sua concretização, pois assim como as pessoas heterossexuais não andam para aí a anunciar como são, porque haverão as pessoas homossexuais? Mas tento entender e penso que seja talvez para "ganhar" mais visibilidade e, neste sentido, permitir que se veja a homossexualidade como algo normal, comum e humano?Nesta perspectiva, não vejo o porquê de negar o casamento a pessoas do mesmo género, uma vez que estamos a falar de casamento civil e não religioso, o qual afecta crenças imutáveis face a este assunto. Se duas pessoas se amam, porque não deverão ficar juntas e poderem mostrar o seu amor através do casamento? Afinal porque se casam as pessoas? Não é o sentimento que as une e as impele a estarem uma com a outra? Para mim, que se case com quem se ama, qualquer que seja a cor, o género e a religião.Face à adopção, não sei se serão necessários estudos que nos digam que a homossexualidade "não se pega"/ não é contagiosa, visto que (acho) que muitas das pessoas homossexuais tiveram pais/famílias heterossexuais.É certo que a sociedade ainda não está preparada para isso, e daí as crianças na escola serem "mal tratadas" pelos seus pares e/ou professores e educadores, todavia, não terão duas pessoas que se amam direito a ter filh@s? e uma vez que não podem concebê-los, porque não deixá-l@s darem o seu amor a um ser que precisa? existem tantas crianças para adoptar, porque não deixar que sejam adoptadas por pessoas que podem dar-lhes o carinho, o amor e a compreensão de que necessitam (para crescerem de forma saudável e feliz)?Ser heterossexual não é sinónimo de pessoa boa e correcta, pelo que nem tod@s podem e devem adoptar, mas não se deve retirar essa opção por causa da orientação sexual.
