My Sacred Place
As I lay upon a bed of soft green leaves pliant to my body's shape
The scent of bluebells mass filling the sunlit glade arouses my senses
A shaft of Aztec sun enfolds the trees like a shimmering golden cape
I watch serenely as it cast its glinting cascade upon the carpet floor
The occasional sound of a winged form rustles the still of the forest
Or a crackle of dry branch from a hidden animal scuttling through
I do not want to move from this sacred place so perfect so magic
I close my eyes and feel my soul blend with its almighty presence
The scent of bluebells mass filling the sunlit glade arouses my senses
A shaft of Aztec sun enfolds the trees like a shimmering golden cape
I watch serenely as it cast its glinting cascade upon the carpet floor
The occasional sound of a winged form rustles the still of the forest
Or a crackle of dry branch from a hidden animal scuttling through
I do not want to move from this sacred place so perfect so magic
I close my eyes and feel my soul blend with its almighty presence
